Service + Advocacy

Ciara believes in giving back to the community in ways that are tangible: meeting urgent needs and advocating for those whose voices are often unrepresented at the decision-making level.

She currently serves on the board of Better Portland and is appointed to the Oregon Governor’s Racial Justice Economic Committee.

Favorite areas of service include racial justice, economic justice in entrepreneurship and small business, eradicating homelessness and hunger, and encouraging everyone to participate in local elections, especially primaries.
